I'm curious if anyone has seen this curling at the end of a tail on any pullets? This is an Easter Egger, and the only chick I kept from that hatch so I don't have other chicks to compare but I don't recall seeing the curling on any pullets in the past. I'm usually pretty good at spotting roosters but I wanted to get some other opinions on this one. Thanks!

Yes, pullets can have curved tail feathers. Are you certain that she is an EE ? Looks more game to me.

Good to know! I've raised plenty of chicks and never noticed that curving so I was concerned because it's my daughter's favorite, of course.
I hatched the chick myself so I know she came out of a blue EE egg but the friend I got the eggs from had quite a few loose roosters so it's possible a number of roosters could have gotten to the hen. I don't think she had any game birds though she had some very cool breeds, who the father was is a mystery! Lol

I have to make one last post on here...lol! The sickle feathers have started to grow even more the past few days...she's now almost 12 weeks old. I still don't trust this chicken not to turn into a rooster no matter what everyone here keeps telling me! :lau These sickle feathers are screaming rooster and it's killing me! She's next to two pullets that I'm NOT questioning. lol
