hi,
i live in Florida right on the water. so i can get the oysters pretty easy. but do i give the whole thing... or is it a powder or
little pieces ?
and where do i get it , if its not the whole oyster.
thanks Sandra
p.s do they eat also fruits and veggies ?

The stuff sold for birds is crushed. The pieces are about 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch or slightly smaller. Feed stores for animals should have it, just try asking. It is crazy cheep stuff. 50lbs for $11.19 last time I bought it and it lasts for ages. Any the birds can't seem to use can go in garden soil or on the lawn...

Crushed oyster shell is available at most feed stores. If you have acces to whole shells you should be able to crush them with a hammer. The whole shells are a little big for most chickens to swallow.
