Does marek's causes blisters/pimples on comb?

My silkie rooster is not feeling good he's legs are weak and he has some type of pimples or sores on his comb, he keeps scratching his neck..
He eats good but he doesn't drink so I have to give him the water with his food

I just came from the only vet that sees chickens in fort worth tx.
He told me that he seems to have a really really bad infection, his temp was 109, and gave me this medicine

An infection is possible too, but I'm sure the bumps are the result from fowl pox.

It needs to be treated. It's a viral infection.
