Came home this morning to Twinkies crop looking a little off. I know they can get real full if they eat a lot and sometimes they get real big after a meal. They had their breakfast and I’m assuming their worms that they always get this morning.

Twinkies crop on the right side looks bigger than usual this afternoon. He’s acting completely normal. I’m just paranoid. It wasn’t like this yesterday. I’m assuming maybe just his breakfast and the fact that he is molting and losing feathers everywhere making him look a little crazy and uneven. Do you guys think he looks normal? Or that an uneven full crop is normal? What’s your advice?

Posting twice this week.. amateur hour…..

He looks like a few of my piggy Buffs look at the end of the day. How is his crop in the morning?
I can’t say for sure how it is in the morning but mostly empty and slim. We give them food at night to munch on (been going on for a while). The only think I can maybe think of is, we just cut on our pasture and are about to bale it and they have been loving to get in there and eat the grasshoppers, maybe the hay got stuck? This is him now. My fiancé thinks he’s fine and I’m crazy but just a paranoid mom who loves her ducks.

Gorging on grasshoppers and hay could cause the crop to be overly large. Keep the food out over night tonight and see how his crop is in the morning it should be empty then you'll have peace of mind all is well. He looks good to me.
