Hi I picked up a African gosling that 1 1/2 weeks old yesterday, she wasn’t eating dry food very well so I wet it today and just a minute ago I was looking at it and we was acting like there was somthing in here mouth and some clear liquid came about her nose that was the Consistency of watery Mucus, I’m scared she had a respiratory infection/disease. (She does have enough water to stick her whole head )

I've had some of my ducks drink water fast, and just shake their head and water comes out. That's because of them dipping their beaks in the water and it stayed in there for a second...Give her some extra vitamins, minerals ( nutrients, maybe goose egg water ) and try to engage her or if you have to, force feed her so she's eating the right diet for her to get her nutrients. ( don't recommend force feeding unless she's physically not eating or able to ) She might be a bit sick, especially if you don't know the condition she was in 24/7 previously...or maybe she just had a little bit of food leftover in her mouth

Is there anything else that going on with her that could point to a respiratory infection/disease?

Does she have drainage from her nares, eyes or mouth?

What kind of bedding do you have for her?
Has she been eating better?

I hope that with the answers to these questions it will help other more knowledgeable members figure out what's wrong if anything is.

@azygous @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock or @Miss Lydia can you help?

Good luck with your gosling(s I hope that she has nothing wrong with her and if she does I hope she can get better and have a long happy and healthy life!

I'd def check out her nares and make sure they are cleaned out,
How is her breathing? is she open-mouth breathing? also put you ear to her chest and listen for rattling or wheezing.
Is she eating the moistened feed okay?
