Dog house to chicken coop

Hi! I picked up this dog house (almost 3 feet deep and 4 ft 2 in wide) for my two silkie boys

I’m excited to post some photos as I get it modified and placed into their run. (Excuse this horrible photo of me lol)

we will be using a prefab dog kennel as a run covered in wire to close in the larger squares and burry a wire skirt as well.

I just boight a dog house today to turn into a coop!

So far we’ve added some doors (pictures only show the holes because apparently I don’t have a pic with the doors on(, vinyl flooring and added legs.

next is to bring it home and paint

It has windows up front and the door will be open for them to come and go. Thank you though!

I wonder too if that roof is tight?
Maybe there is something waterproof under the warped roof boards?

Those might not suffice in the middle of winter.

Yes it’s got tar paper and been checked for water seal. Also they won’t be in it In winter they have a smaller area in my garage. Thanks though

Looks good, but you need some kind of vent at the top of the gable -- heat and ammonia both rise and they need to escape.
