I am raising two squabs, one of which is not prospering as well as it's sibling. Started with crop slow down then moved into breathing issues. Visited a vet who prescribed something for possible candida and respiratory infection (Tribressen and Nystatin). Recently ordered a four in one for cocci, salmonella, ecoli and canker, but it is administered through drinking water for adult pigeons, I'd need to syringe feed this to the nestling. Anyone able to help me figure out the proper dosage and if this could conflict with their current medications? It's a 14 day supply on their current meds I believe.

Dosage should be on the bottle

I need ad the sibling is doing well, nearly double the size of the smaller, and much more feathered out. The one in question is a dilute, which would explain the light/slow feathering, have been medicating the smaller twice a day for about 2 days now, they have lost their voice entirely.

I bought this mix treatment online, and as I said it is meant to be mixed in pigeon waterers, this is a nestling and does not drink on it's own yet. I will ad a picture of said treatment here.

Why are you doing a 4 in 1? And aren't they on prescribed meds?
I have not begun the 4-1 as of yet.
The medications they are on currently is for candida and respiratory illness. I suspect canker, (vet was not familiar with the term, was not an avian specialist but one who has some experience with birds, so my best bet...) Vet told me they were unsure of what exactly could be wrong with the chick and gave me those, told me to hope for the best.

If the bird has canker there will be creme cheese like stuff in their throat and it will smell bad. I think that vet is wrong personally but that's my opinion. Do you have any nutri drench you could start them on? How do they sound. How and what do their crops look like are they eating and drinking on their own. Are they laying. How and what does the vent area look like. You pretty much have to do a physical on them first.

As well as the four in one is advertised as an all around tackle at what could be ailing the bird. It's meant for those who are unsure of the diagnoses so opts to treat from all possible angles. It is formulated for racing pigeon flocks,

I have actually been administering nutridrench in their formula during feedings.
Not much change there, droppings have been mucousy and slightly green tinted. The chick is fatigued but still begs for food, albeit silent and no where near as enthusiastic as their sibling.

Is this a chick or a chick how old and do you have pics?
