Double-checking

So, I'm on day ten of incubation. Last night the power kicked it for five hours due to a storm. I sleep like the dead, so I had no clue it was even storming. When I woke up, the temperature was at 80° F. Thankfully, the power is back on and the temperature is back where it needs to be! According to my research, I shouldn't even have a delayed hatch, but would someone with experience double-check me please?

The closest I've had to that was when a broody hen went back to the wrong nest after her morning sabbatical. I did not notice until probably hours later. Her eggs were ice cold to touch when I put her back on the correct nest. She hatched 11 chicks out of 11 eggs and they were a full day early. My eggs typically hatch early like that, I think it is genetics.

Just because the air temperature inside the incubator was 80 degrees does not mean the temperature inside that dense egg was that cold. It probably was not.

Obviously that is not the type of thing you want to happen. All you can do is wait and see. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking! Thank you so much!
