Drake mature mating age?

I have a few drakes and double the number of hens. At what age do drakes mature and try to mate? What is the maying “season” for mature ducks.

Drakes will begin mating practice between 3-4 months old, but I’m unsure if they’re fertile or not at that point? Hens will be receptive to mounting early on but usually won’t mature until 5-6 months, sometimes later depending on when they were hatched.

Mating season is thought to be between spring and summer. Though, many domestic ducks don’t have much of a mating season, and may mate for longer, or mate year-round. Personally, my ducks will reduce mating during fall and winter, but they don’t quite stop.

Yes to what @KathiQuacks said and one thing I would like to add, you may run into trouble with only two hens for each Drake the suggested ratio is at least four or five hens for each Drake
