Dressing up a chicken?

My kids are in a contest with when they show their birds on Saturday and they can dress them up in a costume. How in the world do we do this?

My niece did a show like that with her barred rock hen. We chose a pink feather boa cut to size to wrap around her neck, a fake flower on a Bobby pin secured on her comb (not tight) and painted her toe nails lol. She was a very patient hen. Afterwards we had wished we had bought some fake hair curls to secure on the Bobby pin as well. Thought of it too late!

Diamond Missouri has an annual 'chicken pageant' every Sept. as part of their Gem City Days. Here are some of last year's entries. Most of the chickens are owned by kids, but adults entered as well...

For my son we want to dress his chicken in camo and some help with a little gun

For my daughter were thinking dressing him in a lab coat holding a chicken as if he's judging it

My other daughter wants to do a princess and my other son wants to do a rockstar
