We have had this hen for about 9 months now, she had this droopy eye thing for about 1 month then it went away after giving her an electrolite mix & Permethrin spray. This month we treated the birds for worms and now she is droopy eyed again.

What's wrong with her?

General care for the eyes is to clean/flush with saline, then apply an eye ointment like Terramycin Eye ointment in the eye.

Did she have lice/mites when you treated with the Permethrin? Did you follow up with a repeat treatment?

She did not seem to have mites, but two of our other chickens did, and they are all in the same coop at night. We treated the whole flock for that reason.

Her eyes don't seem to have anything wrong with them in particular, but her whole body is tired. She is moving slowly, and seems to be in pain. I am concerned she won't last the night.

I tried giving her an epsom salt bath, and that seemed to help her spirits, but noticed she had poopy butt and couldn't get it off well enough before she ran away. Seemed to help a bit though.

Could she be having trouble with laying an egg?
If so, then give Extra Calcium asap. 1 Tablet Calcium Citrate+D3 right into the beak.
