Since we added the ducks we have been held hostage to being there every night to get them locked up. They are really good about going in when we do this, but it is draining on our time and freedom.
The chickens are so much easier. And they work with my auto doors. Ducks. Not so much.
Had to come up with a reasonably priced quick cage. Tractor supply has a $50 off the 10x10x6 fence with gate. $250. And I bought the roof. This combines with fencing on the ground tied to the bottoms and up over the whole top makes a secure fence. Now we can give them access to their hutch and coop and if we are going to be out of town we can keep them locked in this area. Normally during the day they free range the whole yard.
I’ll run some chicken wire down low next so they don’t get nabbed if they decide to sleep under the stars by the fence.
