Hi everyone!
For some reason, right now, duckling specific food seems to be EXTREMELY hard to find in my area. Even Tractor Supply online has a long estimated shipping time for their normal “Nature’s Best Organic Crumbles.”

I'm thinking of getting Mazuri Waterfowl Starter, mostly because it’s available, but also because I have read some good things on this site about it. My dilemma is; I read on the website it is meant to be floated in water. Can you feed it without floating it in water? I don’t really want them to have to have another messy water dish with food in it in their brooder. Thank you in advance to anyone who has had experience with this food! :)

Can't remember, I believe @Magnolia Ducks or @Texag87 feed their flock Mazuri. I would think it would be fine without being in water.
Magnolia Ducks uses that expensive stuff. I start with Dumar non medicated chick starter and add brewers yeast. At about three weeks I switch to Purina flock raiser crumbles.

I have Mazuri, yes they can eat this dry (with a water source nearby). My vet highly recommended this brand.

Also the starter doesn't need water. And since there is much less waste it not as expensive as you might think.
