Oh my goodness! And I thought my ducklings were big!

They are quite big. We’ve been giving all the ducks time in our big bathtub every couple days whenever we clean the brooder out.

I did a huge clean of the duck brooder today. as I put in the final freshly cleaned piece (the water dish) they went insane.
The clean bedding is getting wet, food is being scattered everywhere, the water has turned beige from the food they drop in it, the freshy cleaned tray and paper towels are now already poopy and wet.
The Lord sure is testing me today... Other than the never ever having a clean brooder after the age of... say... 3 days old, 10/10 expierience

oh, and I dropped a poop covered tray in the garage and now it smells like duckling turds so I'll have to take care of that

Been a while since I've updated! all ducklings are doing good! angel wing does seem to be a problem with this hatchery but I've started treating it with vet wrap. Ducks went out into the run today! still needs a few finishing touches...like a coop door lol. but it's almost done!





I promise that pond water was crystal clear like 20 minutes before this photo lol (they also have a smaller waterer that they cant get into just outside the frame)

All the ducks LOVED swimming and at one point all tried to cram into the pond at once
