Duckling grow along!

I made some videos reflecting each of the ducklings personalities.
No offence cricket!

Uhhh, don't mind the quality, they look blurrier than trying to look through frosted glass

The nibbling in the videos are normal. They are very curious and want to eat everything. I remember one of my 2 week olds trying to swallow my finger whole I’ve only seen aggressive biting in scared ducks and hormonal ducks.

Speaking of.. petting their backs is okay as ducklings, but once grown, you’ll want to keep any petting to their chests, bellies, and bills. Their backs and necks are their mating spots, so touching there frequently can confuse / frustrate them as adults.

just ran across this thread, my family joined the Duck gang last thursday the 27th with 2 pekins. They were enjoyed so much that I picked up 6 more yesterday, they are all in the same brooder and getting along very well. Once my son gets home today we will be taking weights and I'll post photos of them all. We will also be upgrading the brooder to a 2x6x2 stock tank(similar to the ones TSC keeps them in) that way they have plenty of room as the ones we have had for a week have gotten huge already.

just ran across this thread, my family joined the Duck gang last thursday the 27th with 2 pekins. Blk/blk 1.8oz
Blk/blk v2 2.9oz
Blk/yel 3.5oz
Gray 3.5oz
Crested gray 3.0oz
Yellow 1.8oz

The two older ones were
On march 4th
9.8oz and 8.6oz
On march 7th
17.5oz and 16.3oz

Photos will come tomorrow. They had a busy evening being loved into a new brooder and the older two having their first swim

Sorry about no updates the last few days! Such a nice day today so the ducklings got to go outside. Didn't swim much but loved dunking their heads in and picking at the grass.(and some peas)



And here's my chickens because why not. They're so interested in the ducklings!
