You can certainly put ducklings together that are a week apart.

Since it’s 1 little with 2 big, I’d start with a fence between everyone for a few days so they can get used to seeing each other, and so the little one can gain their footing.

After a few days, put everyone together and monitor them. Expect some bickering, but if the little one is clearly getting picked on, separate and try again later. I personally found it only took a day or two of being together before everyone settled down.


You could put the little one under a broody hen as long as the other hens & drake are nice, or if the broody / aggressors can be separated for a while. Good, clean bedding and fake eggs are the best broody encouragers. I’ve read it’s best to slip the baby underneath while it’s darker out. You could also jump the gun and give her the egg right before it hatches.
