Duckmom aka new chick mom! Any idea on type of breed?

New chicken mom here but I'm super excited and they are definitely different from ducks. My son got some bantams and then I got some silkies but I just recently bought a variety of bantams and unsure of what breed some of them are. I love researching to see what they are but I can't hold in the excitement any longer. Also, I admit I may have an addiction when I come across baby chicks.

Any tips on what breed, gender, and color some of the silkies are would be greatly appreciated!

Son's bantam's all 2 months old and have feathered legs.

#1 Ty standing sideways is a hen I believe but stuck on breed maybe cochin.

#2 is Ed we it is a rooster because the other red one doesn't have large wattles but not sure on breed maybe cochin. It does have few black specks on the back of the neck.

#3 Dolly very similar to one above but not big wattle believe it's a hen and possibly cochin.

#4 Lola we think it's a hen but not sure on breed.

#5 very similar to Ty #1 but face is different and believe also a hen but unsure on breed.

My silkies are 2.5-3.5 months old except number 7.

#1 Buttercop is definitely a male with his straight stance and definitely a white silkie. Just showing pic because he is too cute.

#2 cluck sparrow I believe is a mauve satin silkie and think it's a male being it chest bumps buttercup.

#3 Mr. Beans I think it could be a male but really not sure. It came from a silkie breeder but coloring was off. I wanted it anyways to see what it turned out to be. It has 5 toes but dark pink skin with purplish ears. It looks like a satin silkie and the colors are vibrant.

#4 chickadee I think female but got from a silkie breeder and coloring was off but I still wanted it. The coloring is changing drastically but it does have bright blue ears. It has the satin silkie look.

Feathers on back changing big time but they are iridescent with blue, purple, pink, and green but I do see some brown spots also.

#5 sonny is silkie but confused on coloring because of the face but believe it's a male. His fluff is bigger than the next one.

#6 Cher I think is a female silkie that pretty sure is black but has few light spots.

#7 nugget is TSC chick that was really red then turned buff looking but its a silkie I believe to be patridge but feathers are weird so not sure if it's a satin or regular silkie but possibly frizzle but it's 1.5 months old or more.

My latest addition of bantams from TSC that I got last week. Not sure of age.

#1 silkie unsure of color but thought was white but feathers on wing have grayish color.

#2 silkie thought was black but has other coloring as well.

#3 back left standing tall silkie not sure of coloring maybe white or buff?

#4 to the right of #3 silkie white or buff?

#5 front left possibly a light brahma? It has specks on wings that are white and black.

#6 front right has similar traits to #5 but instead of dark grey frost on back it's darker.

As you can see, I might have a problem when stumbling upon chicks lol. I had a bad experience from TSC chicks dying the 1st time with Nugget being the Lone survivor which is why I got all the 2.5 month old ones from a local breeder. I had no plan to get more but I couldn't help myself with the off colored ones this past week.

Did you determine the reason for the TSC chicks dying???
Was your brooder setup correctly?
You have a nice assortment of chickens as pictured. Some may be mixed types of same basic breed.

I have ordered from hatcheries for ducks a total of 4 times. The first time everyone arrived safe and healthy but the next 3 times all arrived weak and died within 24 hours. I stopped ordering because I feel as if shipping day old poultry is hard on them. So, I decided to get some from TSC even though they too order from hatchery and are shipped via mail. I figured if I atleast set eyes on them I could determine they were good. Unfortunately, I had never dealt with baby chicks and everyone says silkies will scare you with how they sleep, so even though i was concerned I didn't know they were sick. That batch I had only 1 survive out of 5 but I did start poultry cell and medicated feed pronto.

Our brooder was set up accordingly, as we've had ducklings, the only difference is I didn't feed medicated feed but I see some people don't. This go round I immediately gave them nutridrench for a few days but also fed them medicated feed. They seem to be thriving.

Silkies are probably still a bit young to accurately sex, although I don't see any egregious comb development

I would agree that it might be light brahmas, it'll be much easier to ID them once they're older! I don't see any chicks who look like buff silkies

Thank you! I'm going to upload current photos of the 7 I got from TSC that were the smallest because I'm curious about a few. Plus, I've purchased 4 additional ones lol.

UPDATED PICTURES:

My TSC bantams are now three weeks old. I'm still a little confused on colors of silkies and breed on 3 of them.

#1 Silkie- Possibly blue being it's not black like my previous black silkies.

#2 Silkie- Splash or lavender? It's definitely not white like the other one or like my previous white ones it's almost silver blue looking.

#4 Silkie- White but the feathers have been odd since day one. It always looked wet and feathers out of place. Would this be frizzle or sizzle? I've never had any of the other silkies do this.

#5 mystery breed bantam- I thought brahma bantam but doesn't match other photos I've seen online around same age.

#6 mystery bantam breed- I thought this was possibly a dark brahma bantam but again doesn't match what I've seen online around the same age. Also, feathers are weird so maybe frizzle?

#7 mystery breed bantam- I originally thought this one to be a porcelain d'uccle but coloring doesn't exactly match online pictures that are around same age. It's looking like the self blue d'uccle but the pictures don't so it justice on the color. It's very lavender or self blue. It has 4 toes, tail sticks up, type of feathers are completely different looking then my cochin bantams when they came in but this one feathered out quicker than any I've ever had. It also has what appears to be a beard coming in. I do believe this is a rooster with the comb coming in plus being red already. It's so gorgeous but I'm lost as to what breed.

I also purchased 4 more silkies. 1 I believe to be white Splash and 3 are just like the blue one above but one has bigger fluff on head and as you can see one has bigger fluff on back on neck. The blue ones are this color but the close up of the possible vaulted skull looks black in picture but its not.

Thank you! Here are some updated pictures because they've definitely changed alot. Definitely not lavender silkies but Splash or paint.

#5 not sure but definitely bigger than my other bantams so possibly in wrong bin. Idk. Weird comb it's flat or hasn't came in yet but 7 weeks old now.

#6 thought was frizzle but guess not and so much personality. I will say this one is the most observant and will stare me down.

#2 or #3 identical except feathers on head is bigger on this one.

#4 white silkie but possible frizzle or sizzle? All way to left.

#1 blue silkie? Front right but I've since added 4 more silkies which I think are same except 1 is splash or paint.

Update:

The 3 splash silkies all turned out to be females with black, blue, and white except 1 that is calico.

The 4 blue silkies turned out to be 3 males and 1 female.

What I thought was a self blue d'uccle turned out to be..........a gorgeous self blue roo! Excited about this!

My white silkie turned out to be a frizzled silkie without a beard . His name is now temu because he looks like a knockoff compared to my other white silkie rooster with a beard. He is gorgeous but can't get over how he looks without a beard being I have all bearded ones.

The black one with stripes turned out to be a cochin rooster with silver stripes on feathers.

The white with black one turned out to be a light brahma hen. She is very skittish unlike my other chickens.

I just hatched a bunch of eggs that my first hens, the first set of pics, had laid. It looks to be a good many of paint silkies, mauve silkies, and a few white silkies.
