Dying as they hatch?

In my last two incubation sessions, Ive lost 1or 2 just as they hatch. They pip, rest and then stop progressing. Both times, they've been kicked/rolled around as others are hatching around them. Is it possible they got rolled too much? What can I do to stop this from happening? Both times I had 12-15 eggs at a time in the incubator. I seem to have better success leaving the egg turner in and turning off at the first sight of a first pip. But I worry about them getting hurt in the egg turner so as soon as the first one hatches, I pull it out and set the rest gently on the grate. Not sure how to keep them from bumping into each other, if that is in fact what killed a couple of my babies.

I've always turned my turner off at lockdown on Day 18. After that it is a bowling tournament when they start hatching. I don't really know what is going on with your hatch. I don't even have a good guess but I do hope someone comes along that may have an explanation that I do not.
