Ok these chicks are only 2.5 weeks old so these are just early guesses just for fun! I know it’s too early to tell but I’m just eagerly awaiting while I’m waiting for my next chicks to hatch and these ones to get bigger. Let me know what you think!

**note there are only 5 chicks, the black chick is the same one!**

You can call them yellow 1,2,3 black chick, and the Icelandic is the brown/grey one that is last.

I have a 6th chick but I know he’s a rooster so he’s not included lol (autosexing breed)

My guess is the second one and black one are males. Are these straight run chicks?
I hatched them myself so yes!

I have thought the second one was male all along. I want the black one to be a hen but it’s standing kind of like a rooster sometimes lol. It’s getting its tail feathers before most though, the Icelandic is the only other one with tail feathers and that one is giving me the most ‘hen vibes’ of the bunch if that’s a thing lol.

So I’m torn with the black one (it’s a svart hona). Early tail feathers, but a bit of a roo stance at times…

I go back and forth on the third yellow one too. Not sure what I think that one is lol.

I think the first and last one are hens.

I'm not familiar with the combs on the black breed. In my experience you can pick out males by the early comb size development, followed by them getting pink by 4-5 weeks. Adult tail feathers don't generally grow in until 3-4 months.

Ohh it’s adult feathers for the tail you go by, not just getting the tail fluff in general.

Yes the comb for the black one will make it more difficult to tell. This is my only chick of this breed. From what I’ve read hens of this breed have quite small combs, so that will help eventually to tell apart. But they stay black (like an ayam cemani) so I won’t be able to tell by the comb getting pink with roosters.

One and three look like males.

Thank you! I definitely think the second one is a roo, his comb is growing. They are a week older now so I might update pics if you guys will humour me and tell me if your opinions are still the same?? Lol thank you!
