Easter Egger Egg Color Odds

With my 4 years with Easter Eggers, it seems like I get more of the green hues in different shades (mint, olive, pastel) from different hatcheries or breeders than blue. I had couple of blue layers that for some reason after almost 2 years old just suddenly died from the roost that never happened with any of my chickens. After saying that, I actually have 2 that are still laying at their 4th year but sporadic. I have one that layed light pink, from one batch I got from local feed store.

I can't answer your question, but I got one EE from a hatchery, along with other breeds of chicks and she lays a cream egg. But she's full of personality and her eggs are bigger than the other 6 pullets her age. I was thinking it would be pretty good odds to get blue or green, and maybe it is, but somebody's going to get the cream color! :)

Yes, I'd say getting an EE that lays blue/green eggs, is more probable than getting one that lays tan or white. I'm not sure of the exact percentages though. They are bred towards that standard. I do have several EE's crossed with orpingtons and other breeds, and they still lay blue eggs. I do however have an EE that lays tan eggs. I would say the order that you put the colors in, in your original post, are probably correct.
