Eating cobwebs

Hum. That's odd- but mine eat pine shavings.

I dunno WHY, but I'd think it's OK- are they eating old ones, or occupied ones? D'you think they might be trying to eat bugs stuck in the webs?

not really.
I wouldnt want them to get too many, as it might disturb their digestion or cause impaction... something like that.
So keeping the place swept up and free of the webs is probably a good plan.

But I doubt a few will hurt them. Fact is, you probably dont want to know the things they ingest when you're not looking....

Isn't that the truth! I wouldn't worry about anything they eat unless they are eating too much of it! Good luck!

Highly medicinal apparently, as the web contains antibacterial and antifungal agents that stop those bugs wrapped in it from rotting before the spider eats them! So long as you are cool with having self-medicating chicks, no worries!

Come to think of it, chickens are actually much easier!
