My wife discarded about a gallon of watermelon last yesterday. A group of seven juvenile game chickens consumed almost all of it. They went to roost early, did not go as high up into trees, and were not in the usual groupings based on normally hanging with siblings. A couple were roosting in different trees from what they normally do. As of this morning, the entire group stayed on the roost until about 0830 when all came down at about the same time. All other chickens were off roost before 0600. The watermelon eaters were also having trouble keeping eyes open as I watched them on roost this morning. Once down on ground all seemed normal except behind schedule.

LOL They got the hangover. My dog drank someones whiskey once. THATS the meaning of sick as a dog. :gig:sick
couple years ago I had a bunch of 5 gal buckets of Muscadines to make wine with and one of them got pooped in before I could get them in the big barrel in the barn. I set that bucket aside and forgot about it for about a month. No way I was gonna use it so I dumped it out back and the birds got at it. They we're stumbling around the rest of the afternoon. Next morning they we're hungover as could be. Gives a new meaning to Coq au Vin! :gig

I have had that before. scupernoges too. Mmmm...

They were sour to me except around the skin. I would bite into them and spit the middle out then suck the skin. I remember that like it was yesterday. Ex FIL would get mad at me for wasting his grapes . Then he showed me why. He took me to where it was brewing. It was like sangria to me. 35 yrs ago in Ga.
