Hey guys,
Has anyone dealt with egg bound while having your chickens on this feed? Please see the attached picture.
Iv’e had this chickens for 3-4 years and never had this issue.
Edited to add, I just had one chicken egg bounded that passed the egg, finally. They have oyster shells on the side and this feed I’ve used for maybe a couple of months…

A hen can become egg bound for numerous reasons.
Give her Extra Calcium for a few days even though she's laid her egg. Calcium Citrate+D3, one tablet right into the beak once daily for a week.

I've used that feed for a few years and haven't had any problems. But every every hen is different, so continue to provide oyster shell free choice, make sure they are staying hydrated and with the higher protein feed, I do limit treats to only 2-3 times a week. A bit of scratch, sprouts, eggs, fruit or veggies - just not all at the same time.
