I thought it’d be fun to share some egg pics! We’ve had 4 new layers this week! I’m having so much fun with all of my different colors. In this pic I have eggs from my Easter eggers, Welsummer, Blue copper marans, Brahma, lavender Orpington, Barred Rock, Blue Australorp, Black star, gold star, and Silkie. Would love to see others!

We're finally getting more colors in our mix! Our EEs have been laying blue eggs for a while, and my Australorp has been laying beautiful brown eggs too. But the Wyandottes and my OEs just started! You can see two olive eggs in the bin 🤩

Here are eggs from my Blue Copper Marans, Prairie Bluebell Eggers (blue), Easter Eggers (green), Sapphire Gems (brown), and my collection of fairy eggs.
In some cultures, fairy eggs were considered lucky and used in jewelry or as protection from the evil eye. They were also used in folk medicine to treat diarrhea, dysentery, and sick cows. Who knew??

Only 2 have started laying: a buff orpington and a mystery girl (Easter Eggers, Black Australorp, or SLW). *they are sitting on inside of a recycled egg carton lid; hence the nutrition facts*
