Egg pipped 24 hours ago

So im incubating chicken eggs and I had an egg pip almost 24 hours ago now and it still has not hatched. Should I be concerned or should I wait? I’m not home and I wont be home until tomorrow mid day but I had my brother who is home, check for me if the chick had hatched yet but it still hasn’t. Last I checked the egg this morning, it had a little hole but I don’t know if it made progress since then or not, I didn’t ask. If I wait until tomorrow mid day if the chick hasn’t hatched, will it still be alive? Because I know people have said to wait 48 hours before intervening but what do you guys think?

I usually wait about 24 before helping if it haven’t worked harder, and I only help it if it’s struggling to get out and is clearly chirping and trying to escape. If it is chirping and struggling to get out then I would try to help. If you wait until tomorrow it could be alive or it could not, it just depends on the situation.
