Egg with tons of tiny "eggs" on it?

Anyone ever see an egg with tons of tiny dots on it? They are hard like the shell. Also worth mentioning it is tiny even for a quail. It is for sure a fart egg/fairy egg, etc... The size doesn't concern me as much as the weird layer of hard dots on the outside, after it has been "painted" with its pattern. That is what seems weird.

My chicken eggs had these. It is extra calcium deposits

Yeah, your quail had a glitch. Unless it keeps happening, it's no concern.
That's a really interesting egg. Try poking a couple holes in the shell with a large needle and blowing the insides out, you can keep the empty shell that way.

That looks more like spores or some type of fungi to me!
