My 12 chicken eggs have changed color going lighter during incubation and I’m on day 20 and they are more noticibly changing color. I have a homemade still air incubator and they have all grown beautifully to lockdown. I’ve canceled and kept great accuracy with temp and humidity. Any ideas whya few of them have gone lighter??

They do get lighter as hatch day gets closer.

Those eggs may be internally pipped.

How did the hatch go?
I got 3 to hatch but also did not get them all in within 10 days of collecting them. The still air is rather hard to keep maintained without perfectly placing each sponge and hole etc. but I assume the hatch rate was exceptionally low due to the fact I put 15 eggs in at anywhere around 10-13 days old. But still not bad. I have 15 hens to collect fertilized eggs from. But the three chicks are GORGEOUS! We are in love :)

Too cute! I hope the others hatch for you? New babies are so eggciting!!

I hope the next hatch from your flock has a better hatch rate
