eggs in winter-too cold? must put in fridge?

Temps here have been getting "down into the 40's" and will get down into the 20-30's when winter actually hits.

Our coop is not insulated or and has no heat lamps but is draft free. After the eggs have been sitting in the coop all day, can I bring them inside and place them on the counter? Or should they go directly in the fridge since outside will be colder than the fridge at times?

I would just put them in the fridge, they might be okay, I just am not experimental with meat, eggs, and dairy. So I wouldn't really know. I hope this helps a little bit!

My eggs go on the counter year round. I simply don't have the fridge space. You could wrap them in a towel until they come up to room temp. That will minimize any sweating. However, in the dryer winter air, this issue is somewhat minimized.

Ditto- eggs go on kitchen counter year round. All excepting the cracked eggs in winter, those get tossed in compost. If cracked open in winter the egg is frozen solid.

Those cracked eggs don't even go to waste here. They get set in a bowl to thaw, and then are cooked up. Depending on the presentation of the egg, they get cooked and fed to dog or to the flock.
