Hello! I'm looking for a new home for my Eglu coop with 6x6 run. It's 6 years old and in great working shape, free for anyone who can transport it to a new home--and who is willing to take my four lovely hens. Of the hens, two are 8 months old, great layers, and the other two are 3 years, hearty and super sweet. The flock gets along great. We're in transition and I sadly have to give up my hen project, but have loved it and the Eglu coop is phenomenal. Just looking for a loving home for all of it! I'm just north of NYC. Have two 50-lb bags of crumble to give away, too.

I'm sorry you have to give up your hens. As a fellow Eglu owner, I thought I would add my opinion in the hope it might help you relocate your girls.

Fellow readers: We too are Eglu owners and are happy with the set up and run extensions; it makes life (clean up) extremely easy. For anyone wondering about bugs - they are virtually non-existent given the plastic construction. I realize plastic for chickens is a turnoff for many people; it really is easy to maintain and controls temperature well. If one is limited with space and physical abilities, I can easily recommend the product.

Good luck to you with your transition. It's never easy to give up animals that one has devoted time and energy into caring for. I hope you find a happy home for your babies.

Thank you! I, too, have been super happy with the Eglu. Would buy it again, no hesitations--maybe will, if I can start another flock one day. I forgot to mention, too, I have a brand new automatic coop door (not yet installed) that goes with this.

I know some time has passed, but I have to ask: Are the Eglu and chickens still available? We're within driving distance and can provide a loving responsible home.
