Good advice.Welcome and sorry about your hen. Treat for shock with either electrolyte water or offer her water with 1 tsp of sugar per cup. If the wound is on her back, that is where the lungs are located. Are there any deep wounds from fangs? Pictures are helpful if you can get some in the AM. Dogs can squeeze them, and that can cause internal injuries. I would spray some Vetericyn, saline, or dab on some Hibiclens and water to disinfect the wounds. Apply plain Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment twice a day. BluKote is for minor wounds, or to hide red skin so they won’t peck at it. I have had 3 different hens jump my fence into the yard with our dog at different times. The one with no marks died in an hour. The ones who lost feathers and looked rough did fine. Time will tell if she lives, but I certainly hope she does.
