Hello, I have a week old Emu chick that is aspirating. I very foolishly gave him meds via syringe without having fully understood how to do so properly. Ive never had to do thos with my quail or chickens and was not told by anyone who gave the supps how to administer. I was really concerned the first few days because he did not eat until day 5. He is now eating and drinking quite regularly but he still sits there and breathes oddly, occasionaly like coughing or hacking. Im just concerned he is not getting the fluid out and I dont want him to suffer. He does run around and walks fine but every so often he does breathe odd. It has been about 4 days since the incident, my wife is picking up Vetrx as I read that can at least help. Any thoughts on how to help this little guy?
