Hi. Ok…so did a lot of reading today. One of my 5 day old poults…who has been fine until this morning…has EPF. So, after lots of reading and different opinions, I am choosing the route of “this will be a pet and may get well”…especially since he is eating, drinking, chirping (and sleeping a little more than normal). So, I am making sure he gets food/water/electrolytes, etc. at least every 2 hours…in case he can’t make it to the food and water on his own all the time (or at all) for now. And I just check him often in case he has flipped. But, I have to leave him for about 10 hours for work tomorrow. Do you think if I put him in a mug/sling for the day (so he can’t flip) with food and water at the right height, that may work? Any other ideas? I am determined not to lose another poult this week (2 died Shortly after hatching from slipped tendon and one an early hatch). And I am to the point of considering cancelling my work day…unless the sling mug would work? I don’t want him to be worse or more lethargic when I get home. He is so adorable (bourbon red) and a fighter. Could use some opinions.
