Hi everyone :)
I bought these 6 little cuties from a private flock in February. They're approx 8-10 weeks old. They wrre sold to me as Silkies and Polishes, but all of them are Silkie/Silkie x (all have an extra toe, black skin, feathered feet). I think the smooth feathered babies  may be Silkie x Polish, but I think Silkie x D'uccle is also possible (the seller had all 3 breeds, unsure if they wrre separated).

There's the background info, now onto the fun stuff! I have pics of each baby attached. I am reasonably confident that Dove, Eleanor, Pigeon, and Kiwi are pullets, and that Skrunkles and Lemon are cockerels. I know for sure one of these two is a cockerel, as I've heard the saddest little crows ever coming from one of them while I was moving their friends to a new location and they were the only two left in the pen. I couldn’t see who was yelling, though 😂

This is my first time with young chickens so I thought I would see what this lovely community thinks! Thanks in advance for looking, enjoy some chick pics :)

Lemon is the only obvious boy I see
Thank you, I've been pretty sure I was right on Lemon. The well developed comb and something about his head shape was signaling to me. Hopefully I'm wrong about Skrunkles, I'd love to be able to keep them all!

I agree, lemon is definitely a cockerel.

They're all super pretty, and i love their names!!

Lemon is an obvious cockerel, and I think Skrunkles is also likely a cockerel. The rest look like pullets.
Thank you for your thoughts! I think Skrunkles is too, he/she has a much larger comb than the other two silkie types and is similar to a silkie roo that I had for a little bit.

Thank you! I'm very happy with how they're maturing, I love how silly the silkie types look and how refined the smooth feathered bunch looks :)

I just gotta say, Skrunkles might be one of the best names ever. They are all SO adorable, too!!

No chance you could rehome a male Skrunkles to Tennessee, right?? :lau

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I'm in Canada and also completely in love with Skrunkles, so even if he is a he, I'll be keeping him 😊 he is a sweet little bird. Not even a week into having the flock he jumped up onto my knee and then shoulder and snuggled in, and I knew I was done for!
Adorable birds!! I agree on Lemon and Skrunkles being males.
I just love how you can't see Kiwi's little feet at all😂😭😭 I've never seen that "short" of a silkie before LMAO
And, welcome to BYC!!:woot:welcome
Thank you for your opinion and the welcome! Kiwi was NOT happy about being moved and she's kind of hunkered down in the pic. Her ridiculously tall pouf makes me laugh so much 😂
