Exotic waterfowl pen

Hi! I am thinking of building a exotic waterfowl pen. I was wondering if anyone has built one before and can share some pictures and information. Also, What kind of filter do you use for the pond, what plants can go in there without being ate? Thank you

I have mandarins, would like to have pintails too.

Pintails are nice birds, I like both Bahamans & Northern. Trying to filter a duck pond is nearly impossible so creating a shallow pond (12") that can be drained and spray cleaned regularity (once a week/bi-weekly) is much easier, or if you have your own well, you can run water continually and might need to drain/spray clean it as often. Since you are interested in pintails and already have perching Mandarins, the 12" depth should work great, but if you are going to keep diving ducks you might want your pond to be 2.5-3' deep.
