I'm not sure what's going on here. One other silkie has this. What do I do? The eye foam with a little inflammation and then the dry skin. It's one thing after another. He's about 14-16 weeks old. No other symptoms

No sneezing or a coughing noise similar to a honk?

I recently had a barred rock with foamy eye. Two most common reason seems to be either it got dirt in it's eye. Similar to when humans get dust and our eyes tear up to clear it out.

Another more serious reason would be respiratory illness. I'm treating mine for respiratory because I have multiple chickens sneezing.

Foamy or bubbly eye, and crusts around the eyelids can be a symptom of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG,) a chronic respiratory disease in chickens and other poultry. Have you added any new birds to the flock recently before you noticed this? Tylosin powder is an approved antibiotic for treatment of symptoms in chickens. Dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water given for 3-5 days. Only give it to chickens showing the symptoms. Consider having the birds tested for MG. Here is where to find Tylosin online:

Here is some reading about MG:

Thank you for the info! I had some sneezing in the flock, but it was also after I replaced their dust bath. Either way, I'm going to comb through these resources and be proactive.
