Eye injury

Recently I got my son a bb gun for his birthday, and he shot one of our chickens in the eye. He immediately told me and then i removed the bb from the chickens eye. The chicken is now acting lethargic and its eye is closed. Any way i could help this chicken recover?

Hopefully, the chicken will recover, and something like this does not happen again. Do you have any pictures of how it looks now? I would get some saline eye wash at the pharmacy at Walmart. Flush the eye twice a day and apply some Terramycin eye ointment ( from a feed store—ask for it since it is locked up.) Or use plain Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment or Polysporin eye drops 2-3 times a day. I would offer food and water right up to the beak every couple of hours. Is she isolated now? If she is in shock offer some suapgar water or electrolytes up to her beak?
