Fair price for ducks??

Just ask the seller, and then make them drop their price a little because they will probably set it kind of high. It really depends on a lot of factors.
Age of Adults
Breed
Quality

What breed do you want?

I think a lot depends on your region. I live in upper Michigan, which has been in an economic downturn since the Great Depression so prices are lower here than in other places. I go to local fur and feather swaps and look around to set my prices. I can sometimes get a little more if I have printed signs identifying the breed/breed-combination of the birds for sale.

A lot depends on what it is you want in ducks--- if you are set on certain breeds, or if price is a strong consideration. If there are fur and feather swaps in your area, you might go to one in order to find something you like in your price range, it's easier than going around to different breeders and dickering over prices.

Apparently no one around here is selling ducks... LOL I have several posts on CL and have gotten ONE email. From a gentleman that said he had 7 rouens (3 males, 4 females) that he would take $50 for all. And then went on to say that he had someone coming on the 4th to get them. I wrote back saying I would take them now, but he wants to wait for the other person. Maybe he emailed me just to tease me...

yep they can range from $5 for ol barnyard breeds to $5,000 for rare migratory stuff.
Most domestic barnyard quality birds can easily be bought for $5 to $20 each depending on species age and such.
