Coop is 16’, run is 108’. 20% was my next move. Got a flock block in there. You can also try upping protein to 20% and putting pinless peepers on everyone. How big are your coop and run in square feet?

I have four of my girls out of 18 that have been feather picking each other for a few months. I have sat and watched them and they will walk up to one of the other pickers, turn their neck up or to the side so the other one will pick feathers out. Four of them walking around with completely bare, very red necks in the front and a ring of missing feathers around their necks.Nothing yet. I just posted yesterday about it.
Where did you find this lotion for feather picking? I need to try it, we have feather picking too. One hen is bare. They just pull it out without eating them. I found one of the culprits this morning. She is missing feathers too. This started when we left for a week and had a sitter. She thought it was molting.I have four of my girls out of 18 that have been feather picking each other for a few months. Last week I bought some Rooster Booster Pick-No-More lotion. I applied it twice last week to the four girls. I watched them try to feather pick, but when they tasted it they stopped. Since it has been a week, tonight I reapplied the lotion again...and I see SO MUCH feather regrowth. Only one of the girls still had redness on the front of her neck. I'll reapply again in a few days and keep it going for a while and see how it continues to go. I'm pleasantly surprised at the results so far, though.
(I had checked for lice/mites...all good, I had increased their protein...still picking and they free range all day but the coop is huge, plus two 10x15 fenced outdoor runs when needed)
I found it at Tractor Supply and they sell it on Amazon.Where did you find this lotion for feather picking? I need to try it, we have feather picking too. One hen is bare. How is your flock doing now?I don't want to say I give up, but I'm at my wits end. My chickens have been pecking each others feathers for months no matter what I do. There are no main aggressors as they all do it aside from the alpha rooster. He's unscathed and doesn't seem to peck.
In January coop and run space was a possible issue, but that was nearly tripled back in late February/early March.
1. 17 total chickens. 15 hens and 2 roosters
2. Plenty of space at over 22 sq ft per bird in the run
3. 2 coops at 32sqft total each
4. Protein in their food is ~ 22%
5. No mites/lice
6. I've constantly added enrichment (tire swing, inclusion of an old stump to roost/forage, treat dispensers, mirrors, roosts in the run, a couple of balls to kick around etc)
7. used pinless peepers mutliple times
The thing is that they aren't just pecking and pulling feathers, they are eating them. It tends to mostly take place when they're dustbathing, but I have seen it just standing/walking around. I watched one of my barred rocks tug and pull on the neck of one of my Amercaunas while she just stood there and took it.
Did the Rooster Booster Pick-No-More work for you?Thank you! Ordered from Amazon. Our TS was out of it
I figured out one that is pulling feathers so I might end up culling her. I have a naked chicken she is really bare in spots. Tiny too. So I been trying to feed her extra
Extra vitamins.
