There are cheaper options out there that work just as well, if not better. I believe that in the article posted above, (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/nutritional-yeast-vs-brewers-yeast.1393856/) the author said that nutritional yeast has more niacin. 1lb of nutritional yeast from NOW on amazon is about 13$. Good luck!

Absolutely! The ingredients look simple, and if it's the easiest to get, go for it!

I could not find anything about ratios so I just mixed the small 5 ounce bag of yeast with my 5lb bag of feed. Hopefully this is sufficient and not too much.

After hearing this myth yet again in a Facebook group today (for emus, of all places for it to show up) I thought it might be a good time to bump this thread up so all the newcomers who are getting ducks for the first time this spring can see it.
