I pulled my five salmon favs out of our incu today at day three for candling. I know it’s a little early but I’m not sure the rooster has mated and am trying to see if any of the eggs are fertile. I will briefly describe them and attatch pictures. They all had air cells, the younger, the smaller, and they had a dark region and a fairly light region. My candler is a flashlight so I have never been able to observe veins. The light shines through in patches in some places.

thanks what day is it they could still be growing wait rell day seven and look again i cant see anyhing right know but they still of a good chance of being fertile some grow alittle slow

Before day 7, you can sometimes detect life. The easiest way to do so is to compare those incubated eggs with an egg that has not been incubated. In the living eggs, you will see a reddish glow instead of the yellow glow you see in the egg which has not been incubated. I like to start candling early, around day 3, 4 so I can see those first tell tale pink/red glows. IMO, candling and watching the miraculous development of life is an incredible experience. Must have a completely dark room, and a very bright candling light.

day three
do not toss any unless you are very very sure they are not fertile they always hav that chance of growing im incubating eggs as well i put nine in the incubator and one brown egg was not fertile but i kept it in there tell day 13 just to make sure i have seven in lock down and im thinking i will have a pip tomorrow good luck with your eggs hope they all hatch

Do you see any signs of potential life in these pictures?

Possibly. Again, you would have to do a side by side comparison with an egg which has not been incubated. Without that side by side, it's difficult to id from a photo, because the lighting can vary so much in a photo.
