Fertile ???????????????????????

Is this silkie egg fertile? I have been trying to incubate and hatch some babies but can't seem to get fertile eggs.

If not fertile, what do I need to do?

This yolk looks a little funny to me. Do you have a different picture? If it has a dot infertile. If it has a bullseye it's fertile.

If not fertile, what do I need to do?

Get a rooster that will knock them up.

You may need a new rooster if you have multiple hens, or it may be the hen if there is only one. Pluck feathers around the vents of the rooster and the hen/hens so that he has a better chance of making 'contact'.

thanks, all help appreciated. I'm not a quitter, I'll get it right sooner or later. finally get the incubator dialed in, (I hope), and my eggs aren't fertile. Luck is definitely not on my side.

My silkie roo has 3 hens and 3 pullets, I trimmed all of their fuzzy butts 3 days ago. and am adding a little more protein to their diet. I'm hoping that it works.
