Well it's taken my dad and me nearly 4 mths to finish the coop, but I am so proud of our achievements. Both of us are mobility disabled and have conditions that cause us to be in constant never-ending pain, so this task was huge for us and why it took us so long as we needed recovery days between working on it. Slowly and surely with determination we have finished it and I'm so happy. We took my basic old 7x3 bike shed and altered it into a 7x6 coop complete with an enclosed 21ft run. It has cost approx £500 for everything we needed to buy like extra wood, screws roofing, paint, hardware wire etc and we scavenged other bits and pieces from around my house and garden. We had an idea of how we wanted it to look and just made it up as we went along. On Friday 9th Nov I welcomed the first of my babies 8 week old sisters ( same dad) I have spent 2 hours everyday out with them helping to settle them in and they are so cute and seem to be happy. Today they decided to dust themselves in the wood shavings in the coop and it was great and funny to watch.
I have attached pics of the coop and my new girlie's.

That looks great. Well done! Enjoy your little flock. You know just two, simply isn’t enough!

I currently have 4 but am planning to add some polish and silkies in the spring when the breeder will have them available. Chicken math is a nightmare lol, unfortunately I won't have any more space once I've pushed to 10 max. I'd need to move to a bigger garden/house if I want more than that.
