Hi!

Does anyone have any recomendations on which duck breed would be best for accompanying my lonely muscovie.

I am wondering if a pair (female and drake) would be ok or would they leave her out and or pick on her?
Also would it be best to get two ducklings instead of a pair of adults?

x2! Please don't get a duck duck as company for your muscovy. Despite having actual company your muscovy would still not be able to communicate with a duck and would not be happy with one. And if you do get more muscovies I strongly suggest getting hens only if you only plan on keeping 2-3. A drake can easily over-breed a hen or two to the point of exhaustion. A good ration to avoid over-breeding problems is 1-4.

A muscovy is a duck.

Muscovies and mallard derived ducks are separate species and those are the two most available options for you. Another muscovy duck is the best option. Muscovy ducks and mallard derived ducks do share some similar body language and can communicate with head bobbing. When I first started with muscovies a neighbor gave me their lone pekin drake, him and the muscovy drake were best buds and are still very friendly with each other. Relationships can and do work between the two species especially if that is their only option for a friend but again, the better option is another muscovy.

Ive had another muscovy with her and they always waddled and stayed with eachother. Now she lost her friend (got sick and passed away) so what now im suposed to leave her to herself alone with all the chickens?

if i were to get another muscovy whats a better option going with an adult or a duckling? (obviously stay in the brooder and separated until comfortable with size and behaviour)

The way @MillersFarm worded it made it sound a little confusing but she is saying you should get her another Muscovy duck as a friend. There are two types of domestic ducks, ones who are domesticated from the mallard, mallard derived, and ones who are domesticated from the wild muscovy, the muscovies. When Miller said muscovy, she was talking about the muscovy ducks, when she said ducks she was talking about the mallard derived ducks.
