California is burning up but they have not reached near our home, however, we are surrounded by forest and I am concerned things could change very quickly and would rather be prepared. I have 11 adult hens, 5 roosters, 54 juveniles, and 45 baby chicks. I am thinking of creating a cage in the bed of my truck to use as a mobile coop in case we need to evacuate but wondering if anyone has a plan in place with a coop this size. Thank you!!

If you could enclose the entire bed of your truck that could be good. Someone on here had a cool coop that was built on a trailer for easy flooding evacuation.

How about something like this? It doesn’t look like a cage, it looks good and it could easily carry a lot of chickens.

Gosh, that's alot.
How old are the chicks?
The chicks are between 1 & 6 weeks old, the juveniles are all under 3 months old, we are currently looking to re-home roosters before they start fighting between them, but the process is slow.

We thought of using something like that, but I think I need a bit more height, and want to be able to open it for ventilation with this crazy heat if we find a spot to let them roam in a make shift temporary pen and then put them away again at night. This may not be big enough

I hope you managed to find a solution. I was in a similar situation when the fires started in Australia. For me, it was a bigger problem because I had a whole chicken farm and only two trucks that were not enough to transport all the chickens. When we found out that the fire came close to the region where we live, we had a big panic, but my husband called https://firerecruitmentaustralia.com.au, and they helped us not to let the fire reach our land. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.
