i began my first adventure with hatching eggs in an incubator 7 days ago. O have two nurture right 360 that are both full. One has 6 black copper Marans, 4 BBS Marans, and 12 BBS Ameraucana. The other has 12 blue laced red Wyandotte and 10 White polish eggs. In the first incubator, 19 of 22 eggs are developing. 1 BCM and 2 Ameraucana are showing no sign of development. In the second incubator, 18 of 22 are showing development. 2 BLRW and 2 white polish show no signs. All the rest show strong veins! My hopes are high for my first attempt. Humidity is hovering between 26-28% and holding at 99.5!

Good luck! Wishing you a great hatch! I hatch a lot of shipped eggs and mine this year have only been around 30% hatchrate vs 70% years past. Yours is sounding like it's going to be pretty good!

I have foam incubators, I have dry hatched before, with turners. Then added water for day 18. This time because I was hand turning, I kept some water in the troughs.

I bought 2 incubators 1 a little 12 egg from impeccable. It's hard to maintain proper humidity in it. Temperature fluctuates by 1 degrees sometimes but in all does well. The other is a 30 -36 egg. Unfortunately it happens to be a cheap mass produced machine that is sold to small individuals to slap their name on . Trying to get information on this particular model is a nightmare and what I just stated is what you will find for the most part. The directions were horrible for set up. Out of 36 eggs I got 12 that hatched . There was about 10 that were not fertile. The others stopped developing at different stages. ..I tried 1 more time with this thing. I put 30 in. Every egg was fertile I checked them at day 12. On day day 18 I checked again and had to pull 7 of them out they had stopped developing. Some started to hatch 2 days early. 1 pipped and then I waited 12 hours checked it again and it had died. I had several make it to tbe pip stage and not survive. I ended up with 6 survivors . 7 hatched out. 1 was so small it was lived for 5 days. It just did not seem to grow.some of the eggs that didn't pip seemed to stop developing just before their supposed hatch. I am now wondering if it's the machine or something wrong genetically with 1 of my roosters.
