Hi so I got my eggs in mid-March and out of the two that I bought from Colonia estate one did sound off and did lots of ugly on day 45 it is now on day 52 and although he is waiting like crazy he still hasn’t externally pipped. He sounded like he was getting weaker so yesterday I made a tiny hole in the air sac end and he started sounding loud again as well as moving but today still no progress so I made the hole little bigger n upped the humidity to 65%. I can hear him moving around and it sounds like there’s plastic crumbling inside of the egg! does this mean he is stuck or strong wrapped from the membrane drying out?itsbeen 3 Days already since the baby internally pipped into the air sac.!PLEASE HELP !!!!

The hole was a success! My baby busted out of his egg yesterday evening and he is drying off now in my homemade hatchery . He looks very healthy and is already trying to balance himself on his feet. I did use some medical tape on his feet as I’ve read that spayed feet can sometimes develope and taping helps prevent it. Everytime I look in the window to check on the little guy he pops his head up and whistles at me, then I whistle back n my son talks to him and tells him he loves the bird, which my son has officially named spongebob ! Now I have one egg left in the Baylor which is up to date as far as weight. Egg 2 is also moving a little , not enough to wiggle the egg yet but when I pick him up to check for measurements and temp I can feel him moving around inside! I’ll update my post again when any changes happen. Thanks for the positive vibes

Here’s a recent video of my baby spongebob. Thank you for all the positive wishes. Hatching a baby can be stressful especially when you outdo much time and hope into an egg!

Here is spongebob thriving. Egg number 2 still in the incubator. He’s taking a bit longer so at this point I thing either the embryo died or it’s infertile. I’m waiting for a smell first before throwing it out
