Floating Duck House?

Does anyone here know how to build a floating duck platform? I would love to build one for the middle of my pond for my ducks with an attached house. I assume I can build it out of treated deck boards but need to know what would be the best thing to use underneath to keep it afloat. I was planning on using an anchor to keep it in the middle of the pond. I can use the canoe to get over there for any maintenance that may need to be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not a plan just a rough descriptiom just posted:The safest thing that I have seen for ducks (other than a big total cage) was a floating island with a 'village' of small shelters that the ducks used for nests on it. I think it was made of pallets just roped together with 2 liter soda bottles underneath for better floatation. with two ropes that could center the island in the pond or to pull it to a bank for cleaning, repairs,grathering eggs etc. The owner claimed that a dog or coon swiming out would give himself away by rocking the boat and the ducks could out swim them. Air attacks could be avoided by shelter in the little boxes.

Thanks for the info~ I have thought about doing this for a couple years now because I have had no luck getting my ducks to come back to a shelter for the night~ They prefer to sleep out on the water

...I have lost many of them to predators and I am now down to two ducks...I suppose this floating dock will not be of any help in the winter when the pond freezes over...UGH!

We had a floating dock at a cottage that had two huge metal barrels under it with just a basic deck built on top. It was chained to cement blocks under water.
