foam coming from hen mouth

Please describe more. Did this start suddenly? Is water coming out or only foam? Is she moving about or still. Is her crop full or overfull? Could she have eaten something toxic?

Try to answer any of the following questions that you can.
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use

:welcome If you can give some more info someone can help you:D

Yes this started suddenly. Water is coming out with foam . She is standing but not moving.
1 - she is hen and her age is around 6 months
2- tears are coming out of her eyes and foam along with water is coming out from her mouth
3- from yesterday is all is happening
4- no other birds are perfectly fine
5- there is no bleeding or injury
6- I'm not aware of the cause but maybe it can be because of drinking bad water though we keep fresh water for her
7- we give her normal raw rice and water
9 - no treatment but I gave her water mixed with vineger
10- I want help in stabilizing her
11- her house is big and clean . It is a cage kind of a think with normal ground at base

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

Sorry your girl is having trouble. Have you checked the disease section in the learning center? There are a few with foamy/watery eyes.

Normal raw rice has no nutrients to sustain life. Your birds need protein!

Mixing vinegar in the water won't help unless it is RAW apple cider vinegar, unfiltered with Mother.

Wish I could be more help. :fl

So, if you looked at the video and felt her crop. Did it feel kind of like a water filled balloon? If so, I think you should try to follow the video and empty it manually - at least she will feel better.

Once the crop is empty offer her only soft or soupy foods at first like yoghurt or scrambled eggs, etc.

As mentioned, rice does not provide enough nutrition for chickens, especially if she is caged and cannot get bugs and other things she needs to eat. Is a normal chicken feed of pellets or crumble available where you live?
