Foamy poop

hi again! Sorry I have so many questions. I’ve noticed my chicks (2-3 days old) have foamy poop. Is this normal? They are eating, drinking & active.

I have heard it's a sign of illness, but a couple of my silkie chicks had it immediately after hatching (1-5 days old) and it cleared up with no other symptoms, so I'm not sure what to think of it myself!

Watch them extra carefully for any other signs like lethargy or loss of appetite.

Is every poo foamy? My babies had a couple of these weird poops but they were mixed in with normal ones in between, I would be more worried if they were not having any solid ones.

We need a picture ... It is possible you're seeing their cecal poo, which does happen every 7 -10 poops. What are you feeding? How's your brooder set up, are they able to get away from the heat if necessary? You could put ACV with the Mother into their water (1T/gal) as a probiotic.

Ok when I get them out in a bit I’ll get a photo. It looks like a little white pebble when it first comes out and then the foam dissolved and it just looks like bird poop. I know they were vaccinated but I do not have them on a medicated feed. They have healthy harvest chick starter & grower & a chick grit. I’m going to get some nutri drench this morning should I get anything else that’s crucial to them?

Where are you located? What are you using for heat in the brooder? What is the temp? Looks ok to me, thinking it's pretty warm, make sure that they can move away from the heat in the brooder (cool spot). Wait to see what others say ....
