on our chickens left foot her three front toes are limp. she has full extension of the rest of her leg but she can’t pull it in herself. it doesn’t feel like there’s a break so i’m thinking it could be paralysis. any opinions?

How old is she? Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? An injury might be possible if the nerve is involved. Is there any green bruising, redness, or swelling? Mareks disease can cause paralysis of legs or wings. A B2 riboflavin vitamin deficiency might be another possibilit. It would not hurt to give 1/2 tablet daily of human vitamin B complex or super b.

She is around 2 years, not vaccinated, no noticeable swelling, she has function in both of her wings as of right now and is eating and drinking well. She isn’t lethargic which leads me to believe it is paralysis since she is not in any visible pain. We will try the B2, Thank you!
