Footage of Weasel easily passing through Chickenwire.

I don't think anything can stop a persistent weasel. Worst predator out there IMHO. They don't always go after chickens though, I've never had a problem with them. But my dad lost a whole flock to one yrs ago, and many on BYC have.

a rat trap in a box can stop a persistent weasel :)

Weasels are wonderful little critters who mostly eat rodents. This is a very good thing!!!
However, they are a terrible chicken killer, given the opportunity. It's my job to prevent this from happening, and that's about coop and run security, and sometimes maybe killing an individual who's decided that chickens are the best.

I'm thinking that might be the larger sized chicken wire. Former owners installed it on a pipe gate in my backyard. I think the holes may be as large as 2". In addition to the normal 1", they also make a 1/2" size. But it is still lightweight chicken wire.

My preference is 1/2" x 1" 16 gauge welded wire, sold as cage wire in some places. More expensive than hardware cloth, but nothing short of a bear will get through that.

What that video does reveal is the strength, tenacity and quickness of a weasel / stoat. They are vicious little buggers.
